Christmas PJs and Ginger Bread Men!!

A BIG thank you to Mimi for the Christmas PJs!! The kids were soooooo excited about getting to wear them tonight! And they look SO cute in them!!

Gracie helped me make these ginger bread men. I measure the ingredients and she "dumps" them into the bowl. She also likes to stir, but that makes more messes :) . She put all the red hots on these cookies, too.

Mmmmmmm.... I love ginger bread men! Thanks to Jillian for the great recipe! I think we're going to start a new tradition of ginger bread man making!! She looks ready for Santa doesn't she?

O Christmas Tree!

We got our Christmas tree up and decorated the other night! This was Caden's first time to "help" decorate and I think he really liked it. Gracie is an old pro with this being her second year to "help". Jason started us off well with a fire and then we put some Christmas music on and got to work! I think we'll start a little earlier next year so Caden won't get grumpy :) But, overall, it was a great night!
They LOVE their daddy!!

This is a fun way to see if all the lights are working!

Daddy started the lights.

Caden was right there to help.

Time to put on some oranments!

He needed a little help :) But he tried!

Gracie found the light up antlers!

Here ya go daddy! He was really good at keeping us supplied with ornaments.

We're still smiling :)

Sherrie gave us a bunch of ornaments Jason had growing up, and the kids love them!

Sweet girl!

Funny boy!

One more.

And here is the finished tree! Can you see all the ornaments on the bottom front? That was Gracie's spot for her ornaments.

Extra lights are fun to play with!!

And the next morning, there was snow on the ground!
That makes it seem like Christmas even more!!

Finally some Thanksgiving pictures!

We got to go back to Brian and Laura's house for Thanksgiving this year. I love their house out in the country (but with neighbors - how I prefer it) They have lots of room to play! After eating a huge and delicious Thanksgiving meal, we went outside to "work" some of it off!

We need to get some bikes and one of these wagons! All of us had fun with it!

Thanks for having us agian Laura and Brian!

Gracie did not want to leave her cousin Reid's side!

They had fun!

Lane and Caden played on the tractors!

Any size tractor is appreciated!!

They'll have lots of fun together as they grow up!

Bubble bath time!

He loves bubbles!
Thanks for having us GG!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

This is for you, Jason! :)

I love Jason so much. He's the BEST husband and father! I wanted to do something special for my hubby. I really could have gone this whole pregnancy without knowing boy or girl, but despite his attempt to be supportive of my idea not to know, I could tell that he REALLY wanted to know. So I made a call to Maberry today so I could surprise him tonight!! Tarah gave me the idea of making a cake to break the news. You make the inside of a cake the color that is usually representative of the sexes: boy - blue; girl - pink. When you cut into the cake you see what you're having. When Jason got home from work, he found a cake sitting on the table.

I chose chocolate frosting to keep the secret better! He's so excited!

Please excuse my kindergarten hand written icing :)

Look at that smile on his face!

I guess I should have put some more food coloring in the batter because it not very PINK!

That's right, another baby girl! I knew I saw some girl parts on that sonogram!!

The kids liked the cake more than knowing boy or girl :) Gracie has been saying she wants a sister, and now we know she's getting her wish!

Yummy!
So Brenna _____ Gibson should be here around April 6th, 2010. Haven't quite gotten the middle name figured out yet. :) Your prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy are greatly appreciated!

21 Weeks!!

Wow! 21 Weeks have gone by really fast! Time flies when you are busy chasing a 3 year old and a 1 year old! We had our appointment with Dr. Maberry today. He said everything looks great! The baby is 10-11 inches long and is about 15 oz. All the organs look great and the heart beat was strong. Thank God we have another healthy baby on the way! I think I saw some girl parts on the sonogram, but I'm not a trained professional. I told him I didn't want to know, but he said that he would write the gender down in our file and if I changed my mind to call and ask. We'll see if I can resist that temptation!

This picture has a good profile of the baby's head and a hand, too.

The top picture is the heart beat and the bottom is the whole body.

This one is supposed to be the feet, but I don't see them.

Well, here are some pictures of me and the kids (they want to be in every picture :) ) at 20 weeks.

Typical Boy

Today Caden and I went to the mall just to kill some time before picking up Gracie from Mother's Day Out. We looked at some stores and then he wanted to play at the little play area infront of Pennys. Then he wanted to push the stroller. I wasn't in any hurry to get anywhere so I let him push.

We walked past lots of shops. He is a wild stoller driver! I had to appologize to several people he almost ran over! But, I did notice that he stopped at 2 stores. Everything else he passed by, but these two stores he stopped and tried to go into both times we went by them.
One was that Rick's Collectables that has all the sports teams stuff. He really wanted to go see the football player!!

Yep, that's Victoria's Secret. Typical boy, right?

He wanted to to into the store to see the pretty girl!
Sports and pretty (hardly dressed) girls, what more can a guy ask for?
It starts so young - he'll be 2 in Feb!!
I'm sure Jason is proud!
