July Catch-Up: The May Farm

Well, I have been really bad about updating my blog this summer, so I'm playing catch-up! These pictures are from July that I never got on here and have been wanting to share. We went with some friends to the May Farm one hot, hot Tueday morning. The kids LOVED it, but I was so ready to get into the air conditioned car!!

Gracie is a Kindergartener!

Brenna had JUST woken up and we tossed her in the car, Caden was grumpy because his thumb hurt.

She started working on her playdough and we left.

He smashed his thumb in the door when we were getting out to take Gracie to school. That's why he was grumpy.

Gracie had a great first day of school and "did everything the teacher told me to do" (according to her)

She did have a green dot which means she followed the rules! I'm so glad that she liked it! Hopefully she will still like it after Christmas!!

A Slice of Pizza

We got to go swimming and eat some pizza at a friends pool last week. Gracie and Caden really started swimming well without help (well, with a life jacket). Brenna had fun "swimming" too, but I think her favorite part was the pizza. I got this series of pictures, and I thought it was pretty funny. I added what I think was going through her cute little head for captions :)

Gracie is 5! Crazy!

Gracie and GG -5 years ago, I still can't believe it!

Gracie turned 5 on June 30th! I always like to put a baby picture up so I can see how much she's changed over the years. I really don't think she looks anything like her baby pictures. Gracie is so big now. She is so smart and can do so much on her own. She's such a good big sister, most of the time :) She's so loving and sweet with Brenna; she and Caden have more of a rival relationship but I know they will be good friends. She is REALLY looking forward to kindergarten in August. I, on the other hand, am not! She has grown too big too fast for my liking. :) But I am excited for her to start a new chapter in her life. I know it's a good thing; I'll come around eventually :)

Anyway, here are some pictures from her party! Her imagination is very busy and she requested a "flying unicorn princess castle" cake. I cheated a little with the toys on top, but she was happy and so am I!

Christy came up with the idea to make these unicorn cupcakes and I think they turned out pretty cute, too! ( I know, they kinda look like pigs, just use your imagination :)
