Gracie is 4!

I LOVE to look through old pictures. I mean, isn't that what pictures are for, to look at and remember the times they captured. I wanted to share some old and new pictures of my birthday girl. She has grown and changed so much. I don't want to imagine what life would be like without my Gracie!
June '06 - so sweet. My chubby little newborn.

June '07 - walking. She started at 10 months.

June '08 - sassy! That started at 15 months!

June '09 - little fish. Yes, that's the same swim suit. Good thing they stretch, I hadn't baught a new one for her yet.

June '10 - fairy princess. She's a girly girl who likes to play in the mud!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Big Girl!

Just Like Her Daddy!

Gracie got some money for her birthday so we told her she could use some to buy a toy and put the rest in her savings. So I took her to Target to pick out a toy to buy with her money. We looked at all the princess and Tinker Bell toys. We looked at all the boy's things. We looked at everything. This is what she picked out.

It's actually a vaccum and dust buster in one. It really does pick up dirt, too.

Hey, if it makes her happy...
And I'm sure Jason is proud!

Gracie's 4th Birthday Party!

Gracie is 4 years old on June 30th. I cannot believe it! She is definitely growing up! She is into princesses and Tinker Bell. She asked for a castle cake, so I made one. It was a lot of fun! Here are some pictures of her party.

Time to sing the "Happy Birthday' song! Luke and Carter are ready for cake!

She got a little shy and wouldn't put her drink down to blow out the candle.

GG helping Caden eat his cake.

Jason and Papa eating cake and homemade ice cream.

For Jason

On May 31st, you and I will have been married for SEVEN years. How crazy it that!! I still think it is one of the best decisions I have ever made (becoming a Christian is slightly better :) . I'm so glad that you chose to spend the rest of your life with me! I'm so glad that I married my best friend. Thank you for 7 wonderful years, Jason! And I pray we have many more to come!

Remember our big day? Here are a few pictures to jog your memory.
MR. & MRS. Jason Gibson.
Man! You look so good in a tux! We should go to black tie things more often.

Cheers to us!

I think that was the only drink I got that night.

If I'd only known then how much you didn't really like to dance....
I'm kinda surprised you wanted a dance at our reception. All those Aggie Wrangler classes with alterior motives. You were really trying.

It was such a fun day, but I can't believe it was 7 years ago!
I would do it again in a hearbeat! Maybe we should someday.
Happy Anniversary! Love you with all of me!

Totally 80's!!

Our Sunday school class had an '80s party this past Friday night. It was so much fun to dress up and hang out with all our friends. We ate a Mexian pot luck and played 'Name that '80s Tune', '80s Taboo' and even had a hula-hoop contest. Thanks Adam and Mandi for organizing all the fun!

What have I done?!

Some of you know that Gracie is VERY tender headed. Her hair is really fine and soft so it tangles easily. She has never had a hair cut, so it goes almost to her bottom. This combination has lead to very many confrontations and crying sessions when it comes time to fix her hair. She hates to have her hair brushed. (I'm sure my mom will laugh when she reads this b/c I was the exact same way....except mom never let my hair get that long, but it still tangled, and it still hurt) So when Caden's hair got long enough to need another trim, Jason said "why don't you cut Gracie's too" ..... And that's when I had a lapse in judgement. We've been talking about getting her hair cut for months and just haven't done it. And, I guess the big fit she threw earlier that day before church helped me decide to try my hand at cutting her hair.

Well, it's not the worst job ever (in my opinion) but it's definitely not the best either. But the very worst part of it all is -and I knew it would happen, that's why I've put off her first hair cut until now - most of her pretty curls are gone. I'm SO sad. I loved her sweet little curls and I'm going to miss them. But, on a better note, her hair is less tangled now.

She seems happy, so I'm happy.
