Gracie and Caden went trick-or-treating for the first time in Haskell last weekend! We've taken Gracie to our Fall Festival but not trick-or-treating door-to-door. Being the most forgetful person in the world, I forgot Gracie's Lucy costume. I know, I know, I'm a terrible mother. Somehow, I did get Caden's Charlie Brown outfit, so I'm 1-2. Anyway, I had to think of something for Gracie to be so she could go trick-or-treating. I went to THE dollar store in Haskell and they had NO costumes. I didn't want to spend alot of money, so I decided to get creative. I did pack her PJ's and the dollar store had some ribbon, a crown, and a princess wand all for a dollar, so she became (drum roll please): Sleeping Beauty. Get it, PJ's and a crown with a sash? It was the best I could do for $3 in Haskell.
Dad was our driver, so we went up to the hospital so he could show off his grandkids! The nurses always have candy on Halloween.
It was fun! I know that she will be looking forward to it next year! And maybe the year after that, Caden will be excited about it, too!

Creative, with a lot of spunk. You are a great mom, I would have given up and stayed home:)
