Potty Time and Friends (but not together :)

When do you consider a kid potty trained? Gracie has been using the potty for 4 days now. 1 accident on the couch. Is that considered potty trained? Anyway, along those lines - Gracie and I went to Sam's the other day in her big girl panties. She went potty about 10 minutes before we left, but in the store she decided she needed to go again. ....Whoever invented the automatic flushing toilet did not have 2 year old potty trainers in mind. We went to the only open stall and as soon as we walked in, it flushed. Loudly. And Gracie started screaming and crying that no, she did NOT want to go potty. I knew by the way she was dancing around and crossing her legs that that was not true. Well, she might not have wanted to, but she needed to. So I spent the next 20 minutes trying to bribe and convince her that she DID need to go potty. A nice lady that worked there came in and showed us the one potty that did not flush automatically, but she was not convinced. I finally tried the "if I can do it, you can do it" method. As soon as I sat to show her the potty was not scary she said "I need to potty NOW!". And she did, right on the floor and my foot which was in a flip flop. She didn't totally let go, thank goodness. I did get her on the potty and then she kept going and going. Then, I had to make good on my bribe of getting her some candy - note to self, Sam's is not the best place to buy candy unless you want to be giving her the stuff every time she goes potty for the next YEAR.

Ok, so make that 2 accidents in 4 days. That's not too bad right? Does that mean she's potty trained?

The Thames came by on their way to and from Lubbock not too long ago. We had them over for some fun in the sun. Gracie and Caden really enjoyed playing with Leah and Sarah! Wish it had been a little cooler! Those girls are getting so big. It was really good to see them all.
