Why can't we have nice things?!

I think I'm going to put bells on Gracie's PJ's. Maybe then I'll hear her before she gets herself into trouble . . . .again. (Jason still refuses to put a lock on her door, and I know that I shouldn't want one for safety reasons, but after mornings like this, the thought is tempting)

I was sleeping late because the kids were sleeping late, or so I thought. Caden usually wakes me up at 6:30 or 7, so when I looked at the clock and saw that it was 7:30 and I still didn't hear Caden, I was so ready to go back to my little dream world for as long as I could get away with it. Then I did hear something. A chair scooting on the kitchen floor? That would mean Gracie was up, and I was not there to supervise.

I walk into our living room/kitchen to see her standing in a chair at the sink with something in her hand. As soon as I called her name, she sunk down into her guilty ball. As I walked over to her I could smell the very strong sent of finger nail polish remover. I took the bottle of hot pink fingernail polish away from her ( I had 2 bottles at one time, she used the other one to paint the walls, carpet, doors and various other objects a couple of months ago) and saw the now empty bottle of polish remover on the counter next to the sink. This was not good. It was about 2/3 full before that morning.

The only answer to my frantic questions about the location(s) of the finger nail polish remover was: "All gone, Momma". I didn't have to look far to find where it all went.

This time she damaged our antique table that Jason's aunt Elizabeth spent alot of money restoring for us. It was Jason's great grandma's or something like that. I guess we'll have to have it redone again.

Yep, it took everything off right down to the wood in some places.

This is the chair she was sitting in when she got finger nail polish remover all over herself, too. You can see the little round shape of her bottom where she was sitting.

Here is the little culprit. My sweet baby girl.
