Let it Snow! (and stay for a while)

It was freezing last week to say the least!
We had alot of snow - 5 inches (well, that's alot for us). And since it didn't get above 20 degrees for about 4 days, the snow had a nice long stay.
I've got some pictures, of course. It was Brenna's first snow!

They wanted to go out first thing, but it was WAY too cold...like 11 degrees. This was Tuesday morning.

We made snow icecream later that day.

It was a big hit! We made some everyday, but the kids still liked it! Notice Gracie's still in PJ's.

We waited until Jason got home to go play in the snow, per his request.

We bundled them up in everything they had! It was still super cold and they didn't last too long outside.

But they loved it! This is the next afternoon. I didn't want Brenna outside, so they had to wait for daddy to get home to play in the snow each day.

Brenna's first time to see snow, we didn't let her get in it because it was so cold. She was outside a whole 2 minutes at the most.

He brought this huge icicle from his office.

Our street. As you can imagine, the kids and I didn't do any driving.

Our house

Jason was sure to make one of these every night.

By Thursday we were all getting CABIN FEVER!!!

Crazy Kids! ( I think I was worse off then they were :)

Poor Brenna started with a runny nose on Wed and by Thursday night had a fever of 102. I'm glad it warmed up on Friday so we could take her to the doctor - she had the flu. It took us 30 minutes to drive accross town to get the doctor's office, but I think the kids were so ready to be out of the house they didn't care. They liked driving in the bumpy snow.

My cuties!

Snow angel time!

He can be an angel when he wants to. :)

By Saturday afternoon it was almost 50 degrees and it felt pretty warm compared to what we've been through. Jason let them go out in shorts!

Ready to build a snowman. It was a really powdery snow that you couldn't play with very much. After it melted a little, it would pack into a good snowball... or snowman.

He's just a big kid, especially when it comes to snow!

She was proud that she made the snowman's head all by herself.

This will come in handy someday :)

Throwing snowballs!

Frosty!!
A crazy week, a long week, but a fun one too!
